چکیده

Traditional biometric recognition systems rely on a single biometric signature for authentication. While the advantage of using multiple sources of information for establishing the identity has been widely recognized, computational models for multimodal biometrics recognition have only recently received attention. We propose a novel multimodal multivariate sparse representation method for multimodal biometrics recognition, which represents the test data by a sparse linear combination of training data, while constraining the observations from different modalities of the test subject to share their sparse representations. Thus, we simultaneously take into account correlations as well as coupling information between biometric modalities. Furthermore, the model is modified to make it robust to noise and occlusion. The resulting optimization problem is solved using an efficient alternative direction method. Experiments on a challenging public dataset show that our method compares favorably with competing fusion-based methods. Conference Name: Computer Vision EECV 2012. Common Sparse Representation-based Robust Multimodal Biometrics Recognition

In this paper, we propose multitask multivairate common sparse representations for robust multimodal biometrics recognition which can be viewed as an extension of previous work on joint sparse representation-based multimodal biometrics recognition. The proposed algorithm can better utilize the discriminative information among different modalities simultaneously by enforcing the common sparse re...

Privacy Preserving Multimodal Biometrics in Online Passport Recognition

The biometric recognition systems rely on a single biometric for authentication for a particular user. Unfortunately these systems having some inevitable problems such as Noisy data, spoof attack, on-universality etc and hence it is not used in online passport registration system. In order to rectify the noise in the image, a novel joint sparsity based feature level fusion algorithm is used for...

Multimodal Biometric System using Iris and Inner-Knuckle Print

Multimodal biometrics system becomes an inexorable trend in future. Multimodal biometrics overcomes many drawbacks over unimodal biometrics. Some of the drawbacks are non-universality, noisy data and spoof attack. Multimodal biometric is more efficient and accurate than unimodal system. In this paper we present a multimodal biometric recognition system using Iris and finger Inner-knuckle print....
